Our Mission
Every student deserves access to music.
Music can change how a student learns, connects, creates and sees themselves.
We believe every student should have the chance to experience the transformative power of music – not just the students whose schools happen to have the resources to make it possible.
Let Music Fill My World brings people together to celebrate why music matters, then turns that energy into action – putting more teachers in schools, strengthening music programs and helping more students make music part of their world.
From celebrating music to making it possible.
At the heart of our work is the Music Matters Challenge – a nationwide celebration of the power of music that brings students, educators, and communities together around the stories and experiences that make music matter.
But it doesn’t stop at celebration. The Challenge turns participation into investment, helping bring music teachers and resources to schools where students need them most.
Our approach focuses on three pillars:
1. Fund Music Teachers
Through the Music Matters Challenge, we fund at least one full-time music educator every year at a U.S. school without one, providing up to $300,000 in salary support over three years.
2. Invest in Music Programs
The winning Music Matters Challenge school receives $25,000 for its music program, helping educators get the instruments, technology, tools and resources they need to create meaningful musical experiences for their students.
3. Expand Access
The Music Matters Challenge is our biggest vehicle for impact – but it’s not the only way we make a difference.
We also support select organizations, initiatives and partnerships that are opening doors to high-quality music education and resources for more students, in more communities, across the country.
Turning belief into action
We want to live in a world where every student can experience the power of music – regardless of their zip code, school budget or circumstances.
The Music Matters Challenge helps us move closer to that world every year: bringing people together, celebrating music and turning that celebration into teachers, resources and opportunities for students.
And we're just getting started.

Together, let's fill more worlds with music.
It’s about opportunity.
It’s about giving students another reason to come to school, another way to express themselves and another place to discover what they’re capable of.
And it’s about making sure those opportunities aren’t determined by where a student lives or how much funding their school receives.
